Graduate Student Position

University of Guelph, Department of Plant Agriculture

A graduate student position is available immediately in the Department of Plant Agriculture at the University of Guelph. The research project is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science, and is available to domestic students interested in either MSc or PhD studies.

The research will focus on the molecular and biochemical mechanisms governing disease resistance and susceptibility in legume plants. Students will receive training in biochemistry, molecular biology, genomics and related areas. We are seeking a candidate with a BSc or MSc in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, plant sciences or a related field. The incumbent student will be offered a full stipend to cover tuition and living expenses that are commensurate with graduate study at the University of Guelph.

The preferred starting date is September 2017, but strong candidates who expect to be available in January 2018 are encouraged to apply.
