Applications are invited for an M.Sc. position in the Department of Biology at Western University (www.uwo.ca/biology), starting in either May or September 2026. The research project focuses on improving key traits in forage crops using advanced gene-editing technologies.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training in molecular biology, genomics, physiology, and related disciplines. Research will be conducted at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) Research Station, which offers state-of-the-art facilities for biotechnology, molecular biology, and genomics, and is located a short distance from the Western University campus. Financial support will be provided in accordance with the Department of Biology’s guidelines. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in pursuing long-term research careers. Applicants must hold (or be in the final year of) a B.Sc. in plant sciences, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
