Graduate Student Positions Available

Department of Biology, University of Western Ontario

Graduate student positions (M. Sc. and Ph. D.) are available in the Department of Biology, University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario to work on the projects aimed at 'Regulation of Isoflavonoid Biosynthesis in soybean'. The project will involve gene expression and regulation, gene family characterization, gene cloning and protein-protein interaction and study of isoflavonoid metabolon.

The student will work within a broad program in molecular biology and genomics at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Station, which houses state of the art facilities for molecular biology research, and is located just 10 minutes from the University of Western Ontario campus. Student will be enrolled in the Department of Biology (http://www.uwo.ca/biology/) and will undertake normal departmental duties.

Candidates should be highly motivated, have a B. Sc. or M. Sc. degree from a recognised university and is expected to have a strong background in cellular and molecular biology and biochemistry with excellent communication skills.
