Graduate student positions

University of Western Ontario

Applications are invited for graduate student positions in the Department of Biology at the University of Western Ontario (www.uwo.ca/biology). The project will involve discovery and characterization of genes responsible for regulating important crop traits; e.g. yield, quality and stress response. The student will receive training in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, biochemistry, physiology and related areas. The student will conduct research at the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Station, which houses state of the art facilities for molecular biology and genomics research, and is within a short distance from the University of Western Ontario campus. Financial support will be provided in accordance with the guidelines of the Department of Biology.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates who are interested in long term research careers. Candidates must hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field. Interested individuals should contact Dr. Abdelali Hannoufa at Abdellai.Hannoufa@agr.gc.ca
